Friends of the Library - North Ridgeville Branch Library

About our group

The Friends of the North Ridgeville Branch Library, Inc., is a non-profit organization of area residents who promote interest in the Library and plan fund raisers and programs. The North Ridgeville Library is a branch of the Lorain Public Library System.

What we do

The Friends plan, sponsor, and publicize programs and special events for the Library. These are some of the recent presentations or activities the Friends offered to the public:

  • Book Sales three times a year to raise funds for the purchase of library equipment and materials and to pay for special library programs.
  • Sunday afternoon programs for all ages.
  • Special events like Ice Cream Socials and Car Shows.
  • A Silent Book Auction.
  • Blood Drives several times a year.
  • An Open House celebrating National Library Week.

Our meetings


The Friends meet four times throughout the year at dates, times and locations announced in our quarterly Bookworm newsletter.

Even if you don''t want to attend meetings, your membership will entitle you to receive the Bookworm newsletter that will keep you up-to-date on Library and Friends activities.

Be as active or inactive as you choose. Just become a Friend of the North Ridgeville Branch Library!

You will receive regular mailings of the Friends quarterly newsletter.

You will learn the latest news about the North Ridgeville Branch Library.

As a Friend, you will join with others to play an important role as liaison between the Library and the North Ridgeville community.

New members and members renewing membership can complete a membership form and turn it in at the Library Check Out Desk, or mail it to: Friends of the North Ridgeville Branch Library, Inc. at P.O. Box 39002, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Checks should be made payable to: The Friends of the North Ridgeville Library, Inc.

Annual membership dues are: $10 Friend; $5 Golden Friend (Senior Citizen); $25 Good Friend; $50 Best Friend; $75 Benevolent Friend; or $100 True Friend. Lifetime membership -- Friend For Life is $500.
